Leveraging research and analytics to achieve your optimal trajectory, for your company, your students, your mission.
Many are using data to inform decision making through data analytics, but it takes more than a colorful graph, a survey, or a regression to provide the deep insights needed to understand the complex systems that contribute to the data patterns. I am a published senior research, predictive modeling, and data analytics professional with a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Measurement, Evaluation, and Assessment from University of Connecticut, background as a data strategist for an urban school district, and teacher, with experience in managing staff, projects, and client relationships in nonprofit and for profit environments. With a background as a mathematician, teacher, and as both a quantitative and qualitative researcher, I know how to get answers to your questions from your data. Laser focused research and assessment strategies can help spotlight ways to improve outcomes. I am the person you need to blend this unique skill set in a collaborative, problem solving environment to solve the data puzzle, uncover the trends, and improve your results.

program Evaluation
The purpose of program evaluation is to inform key stakeholders on the effectiveness of programs and interventions to shape policy. KRC is experienced in leading strategic discussions to focus the questions, select a program evaluation design, identify quantitative and qualitative data needs, and see the project through to completion. We find the answers so that you and your funders can understand what works, keeping your focus on your mission.
Psychometrics
Your mission is unique, and sometimes that means your outcomes can be a challenge to measure. We can help design and evaluate the adequacy of your measures. Assessments and measures must exhibit adequate levels of reliability and validity for you to gain knowledge from their use. Areas of practice include measures of knowledge, attitudes, beliefs, behavior, and personality traits. Techniques include content and construct validation, exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis, item response theory, and structural equation modeling.
Longitudinal and Multilevel Research
The ability to capture and store measures over time opens up new areas of inquiry regarding change and growth. It is often the case that questions of interest involve observations that are in some way related to each other and not independent (Raudenbush & Bryk, 2002). As experts in the field of multilevel and longitudinal modeling, we can help glean insights from your data, using simple or more complex methods.
Predictive Analytics
The term “big data” (Gandomi & Haider, 2015) is used in business when referring to the increased availability of large, complex data which when combined with advanced analytic techniques can uncover new insights and innovative solutions. The availability of data and advanced computing capabilities results in a widening range of opportunities to ask richer more focused research questions and apply advanced analytics to learn about how students learn (Podesta, Pritzker, Moniz, Holdren, & Zients, May, 2014). We can identify the technique that will answer your question based upon your data.
Dissertation Research Support
According to the Chronicle of Higher Education, 50% of students who start a doctoral program do not complete it, many times due to challenges in completing their research and writing the dissertation. With expertise in quantitative research methods, we will start with your description of the research about which you are so passionate, recommend different approaches, provide statistical models simulated data and analysis, and coach you through every step of the process. Support services includes assistance in designing the proposal, data gathering and analysis, and direction on writing the results.
Survey Research
Conducting a survey is costly. Your staff and those you serve will be asked to take valuable time to help develop and to respond to your survey. Scientific methods are needed to ensure you can trust the results. This requires attention to detail at many steps in the process including writing the questions, identifying the population, sampling, and analyzing results. Let us help you get the answers you need.
